I think it is a good thing. However the way it is managed in the UK is wrong and unfair. Also the medical staff involved are more concerned about the success rate of the institution rather than to deliver a service to the people.
IVF is a way to help people with challenged fertility to become parents – it has changed the lives of numerous couples around the world, so a great opportunity as such. Why are you interested in my views on IVF?
Not sure what you’re asking, but if I presume you want to know if I think In Vitro Fertilization should be done or not.
I think it’s a very powerful and useful technique to help couples that really want to have children but for some medical reason are not able to. It can bring a lot of happiness and love into the world and that can only be a good thing, no?
As everything, it should be done carefully, morally and ethically to avoid abuse.
My views? I don’t have any objection to IVF if it is helping people who desperatly want to have children to achieve that. I guess there’s always the argument that there are so many unwanted children in the world and why couldn’t people adopt rather than go through IVF but then it is their right to have offspring from their own genes so it’s a bit of a tricky one.
I have mixewd opinions on IVF. Generally, I respect others rights to chose what they want to do, including using IVF to concieve children. However, there are lots of kids that need to be adopted and would benefit from being with people who really want children. Also, genetically and evolutionarily, if you’re having trouble concieving children naturally, there has to be a reason behind it. So passing these genes on thro IVF may not be a good idea….
I know I wouldn’t use IVF but I guess its down to the individuals and their ethical opinions.
