      Hi there,

No – and I would never do (or be asked to do) that 😉

      Hi

A very sensitive question that one!

No, I don’t. And that was a decision I made: I did not want to do research that involved animals. For some experiments, you do need animal models. However, in the labs that do those experiments, they have very strict rules to insure that the animals are treated humanely and are not harmed.

I personally couldn’t do it – I know I’d get too attached to the animals and would therefore not be very good at that kind of work… so I choose a research field where the most we kill are bacterial or yeast cells. 😉

There are no animals involved in my work, so no harm done!

Definitely not! In fact, my work is designed to improve animal lives. We sometimes house animals lke they do when raising them for food – which isn’t always the nicest conditions but we monitor the animals closely to make sure none get harmed in any way 🙂

No – i don’t work with animals at all but i think the squirrels that live on our site have a bit of a death wish cos they always jump out in front of the car as you drive through the car park!
