      I’ve dissected a number of chickens of different ages and breeds. It’s kind of neat, when you dissect a female chicken, you can her her ovum – which are actually the yolks of the eggs we eat. So it’s like looking at a group of egg yolks inside the chicken. You can also follow the egg along her oviduct as the shell is formed and sometimes can dissect out a fully formed egg.
