      Hi hwalker08

My suggestions is simple: the area that interests and fascinates you most. If you decide to have a career in science, I think it should be because you love doing it, so the most important thing is to choose an area you really like. 😉

That’s what I did, anyway – even if I found out which area I loved a little bit by chance! 😉

      Hi there,

Well – first, which field do you like? biology? physics? maths? chemistry? technology? and then what do you enjoy and where would you like to help? I need to know a bit more about your passions to help you answer that one 🙂

Well, I’m a bit biased and would say Animal Welfare Science! lol
It would really depend on what you’re interested in – biology, chemistry, geology, etc. There’s tonnes of options in every field so I’d say you should try to get experience in different areas until you find one you really like. We often have students visiting us to learn about our research and get some hands on experience 🙂

Wow, that’s tricky – it depends which sciences you like and why you want a career in science. I didn’t have a clue what job i wanted to do when i first did my A Levels, i just chose the science subjects that I enjoyed – chemistry, geography, biology. In hindsight, if i’d have known i was going to end up being a geologist, i probably would hae done physics at A Level and maybe even maths (although not studying either of them hasn’t stopped me getting to where i am)!!

If you like the outdoors and travelling around (and camping) then go for geology 😉

It all will depend on your own interests. So you need to give me an indication in what things you are interested in.
