Believe it or not, it took me years to figure out where I’d like to live – having tried many countries such as Austria, France, Norway, Canada or the UK. And the answer is: where I am now. I love my work, London is a fantastic place, and the people I love are not far away – so by far my first choice 🙂
That’s a really difficult question because there are so many amazing place that i’ve visited that i’d love to go back to, and still so many more places I’d like to visit……but I wouldn’t want to actually move away from my family and friends permanently, they’re too important.
However, if there was one place in the world that i could just teleport to whenever i wanted, it would be the volcano i studied for my PhD, Nevados de Chillan in Chile. No-one ever goes up the volcano so it’s completely isolated with beautiful waterfalls and amazing wildlife. I would just sit in the sun watching the condors soaring above and it would be perfect!
Ooooo – that’s a tough one!
I’ve often thought I’d like to end up in Vancouver, Canada – beautiful place, good animal welfare research group 🙂
But there is something appealing about living (and owning!) a small island, not too far from shore with beautiful weather – not sure where this island is located – perhaps just in my mind!
