      Hi there

Well, we get holidays and days off like everybody else!

If you are an experimental scientist, that is, if you do experiments in the lab or do field work, it’s hard to work on a 9-to-5 schedule. We call it “flexible hours”. 😉 It just means that some days our experiments mean we have to work late, but also that some days we can leave early or even work from home when we are preparing a report or writing a paper with our results.

We still go on holidays in the sun and enjoy weekends – even if occasionally we have to do some work outside normal “working days”. 😉

It’s not all hard work, though, we go to the pub with colleagues, enjoy the sun when it comes out and even watch the World Cup together 😉
