Lots of things: go to the pub with friends and colleagues, enjoy the wonderful parks around London when the weather is nice, go to concerts, visit interesting exhibitions, read, take walks or go out for dinner with my partner, go to the cinema, sleep (I love sleeping!), browse my favourite websites – the list goes on and on. I used to be in an amateur drama group, but since moving to London I’ve found it hard to find a new group – I miss doing it a lot! 😉
One of my main activities is volunteering for a greyhound rescue organization. They take ex-racing greyhounds and fine them pet homes. They also take any other sighthounds that don’t have homes and take care of them until they can get ‘forever’ homes. I currently have a 13 year old lurcher who’s family was moving to Australia and couldn’t bring him. He’s wonderful 🙂
I also play the surdo ( a drum) in a Samba band – tho I’ve just started and am not very good yet!
We planted a veggie garden this spring, so I do a fair bit of gardening. I love books and am constantly reading (right now I’m reading HP and the Dealthy Hallows for the zillionth time 🙂 ) And of course, if I have the spare time, nothing beats a good nap 😀 lol
All sorts! I play netball for 2 different teams, sometimes 3 so that keep me quite busy – in school terms i usually play twice at weekends and twice during the week. I also like going to watch football – I have a season ticket for Nottingham Forest so go to watch them during the season…….and if i’m not doing either of those i’m either in the pub with my firends or lying on my friend’s sofa watching a film 😉
Oooh – just read Laura’s reply – I saw a Samba band playing in a derelict church in Liverpool a few years ago and they were absolutely amazing, sounds so much fun!
What spare time? Tennis, swimming, hill walking, painting, reading, music, going to the theatre, watching rugby and travelling. PS I have started to work today at 7:30, so I am now really very tired.
