I’m a ecologist – basically I’m interested in how the natural world works, gathering knowledge that helps its management. I then have a huge interest in biodiversity preservation – which makes me a conservation biologist
      have a great day

I’m an Animal Welfare Scientist. Basically this means I do research on how to improve the lives of animals that come into contact with humans -whether this be pets, farm animals, research animals or ‘wild’ animals in nature parks.

I’m a geologist, so i study the rocks of the Earth.

But i specialise in geographical information systems and volcanoes. Geographical information systems are special computer programmes that we use to help visualise geographic data – so basically we use them to make maps and 3D models that help us understand what is going on under our feet.

I am designing and developing new instruments for the scientist to use to do their experiments with, so you could describe me as an inventor.

      Hi Molliemoo

I’m a researcher – that means I search, and search again, and then search some more. 😛 Sorry, couldn’t help myself!

Seriously, that is actually not far from the truth. I am a researcher, which means I investigate a problem and try to find ways to understand how things work. I’m constantly searching for answer and new ways to tackle a problem. So I do have to search again and again. 😉
Specifically, I’m a structural biologist which means I focus my research on trying to determine and understand the shape of proteins.

So I’m not exactly an inventor, but I’m still a scientist!
