      Hi there,

Even though you brushed your teeth, you didn’t remove all the bacteria in your mouth – bacteria multiply very very quickly, and in the morning, well your mouth is full of them. And that’s why our mouth stink in the morning 😉

Bacteria build up on your teeth and gums while you sleep and this produces the odor.

I’ve also been told that drinking lots and lots of water beofre bed helps decrease bad morning breath but I’m not sure of this actually works.

Nothing to worry about: you accumulate saliva and that is a breeding ground for the bacterial normally found in your mouth. Just brush when you wake up and you’ll be fine. 😉

Someone has already asked this question so i refer you to my previous answer:

I think you’ll find my breath smells of roses

Actually this morning my breath smells mostly of TCP – you should try this toothpaste

Be warned, despite it’s enticing colour, it does not taste like bubble gum….it tastes like paint stripper. Come to think of it, it tastes like something capable of killing all that nasty bacteria in our mouths that makes our breath smell in the first place (which has nothing to do with drinking too much alcohol the night before).

The bad breath is a cause of bacteria that is in our mouths attacking proteins that contain sulphur amino acids. Even if you brush your teeth you may not be able to kill all of the bacteria and with all the time your asleep this bacterioa has its fighting chance to do its job. No matter you should still brush your teeth to fight this nuisance.
