      Hi there,

Well, we are asked to use that money to disseminate our work – giving money to a charity would not fit the requirement I think (?). But I’m not opposed to the idea!

Once I make enough money to start saving (and finish paying off school debts!) I’d like to make monthly donations to charities. Some people will go without a lot of things and give most of what they have to charity. I’d like to be secure financially and then would definitely give to (reputable) charities.

I think what I planned to do with the money already is better than charity. It is working directly with someone less fortunate. I am not always sure about organised charity. I prefer direct contact when I help people out. 🙂

      Hi Natalie and Halo

If I had lots of money, one of the things I would definitely do is give many to charities.

      Would you? 😉

If you’re talking about the prize money, it’s there specifically for us to use in a project that involves communicating science, so I don’t think giving it to charity qualifies…

I certainly wouldn’t rule it out, although i already do give a lot of money to charity on a regular basis so i’m doing what i can…..i even sponsored my mate steve to do a sponsored walk this weekend. he’s only walking 6km though so i’m not sure where the challenge is….
